Do KOA’s Offer WiFi?

There are a variety of independent campgrounds as well as state and government-run campgrounds that offer wifi. In addition, most KOA’s offer free WiFi. This can either be a good thing or a bad thing for your family, depending on if you still would like access to this modern luxury or are hoping to unplug.

Even though KOA’s are WiFi-equipped, the terrain, weather, and campground occupancy may affect your internet speeds and ability to stream and download content. It would be wise to remember proper camping etiquette and attempt to share the WiFi with other guests. This means that while updating your social media or checking your email is likely fine, watching a feature-length film is not very neighborly.

In today’s modern times, most campsites and RV Parks are offering Wifi to their guests. Depending on the number of reservations, the WiFi might be slow and not allow for streaming. Before choosing a campground, you may want to decide if you would like access to WiFi or if you would like to avoid the temptation altogether.

You are outside and should try to get out into nature and enjoy it. If you are at a WiFi-equipped campground, be courteous to others and don’t download large files or stream movies. With today’s technology advancements, roughing it doesn’t mean you have to go without modern luxuries.
